Nov 13, 2019 · I had BCBS for several years at work. Two years ago, they switched to MVP for cost reasons. It is a little more of a gamble if your provider takes MVP or not, while virtually everybody takes BCBS. I had 2 people I was referred to sign up with MVP just so they could see me. I never had any procedure or med denied by either company.

Jun 30, 2020 · Hi, I'm relocating to the Red Hook, NY area and I'm about to lose healthcare coverage under COBRA after getting laid off earlier in the year. We're looking at MVP Healthcare and Fidelis (bronze as we can't afford silver) but are finding it really hard to know if there are many doctors that actually accept those plans.

Maybe it's because I had a medicaid plan through them and not full coverage but I had a terrible time with MVP. Any time I called I'd be on hold with them for ages, they always seemed to lose information I'd given them in the past, just an absolute nightmare. Again, may very well be just because I wasn't a paying member, but still.
Does anyone know why MVP would be calling me repeatedly?
May 19, 2023 · I have MVP through medicaid. I've gotten several calls that are supposedly from them, and they have left multiple voice-mails. The content of the call is always the same: "we want to make sure you are receiving the best level of care, and it appears there is some important care you are not receiving".

Albany County announced the Rochester based firm won the bidding Monday morning. MVP will pay a total of $2 million a year during the duration of the five-year contract.

There were many times our intake staff had to turn away people with BSNENY, Medicare and NYS Empire plan. The LCSW-Rs were always booked and even the ones that could take new patients only took 1 new patient a week.

Feb 22, 2023 · Schenectady Family Health Services should take Medicaid though. Otherwise you're probably going to be stuck paying out of pocket for dental services. This is in, talk to your assemblyperson territory. It won't fix your problem today, but this is why you're having issues.
