Clemson’s season came to a disappointing end Sunday with a 16-4 loss to Kentucky in an NCAA Regional elimination game at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers committed seven errors — their most all season — leading to five unearned runs, as Kentucky scored in five of the first six innings and built an insurmountable lead.

The Wildcats scored in five of the first six innings and capitalized on a season-high seven Clemson errors to cruise into the Clemson Regional final, sending the Tigers home early once again. The loss dropped Clemson to 1-2 in regional play and marked the sixth time in the last seven occasions the Tigers have hosted a regional that they’ve failed to advance.
