Isaac School District teachers can expect to be paid on Friday, according to Arizona's top education official.

Isaac School District (ISD) is still facing $28 million crisis that lead to hundreds of its teachers not getting paid. "These folks are living off $50 gift cards right now," said Marisol Garcia, "It is pretty humiliating."

Isaac Elementary School District employees received their overdue paychecks after a financial crisis put the district at risk of closure. The neighboring Tolleson Union High School District agreed to loan Isaac Elementary $25 million to cover payroll and operating expenses through the end of the school year.
