Friends of Big Bear Valley have announced the names for the mountain's two newest bald eagles — Sunny and Gizmo.

LOS ANGELES - Meet Sunny and Gizmo! The Friends of Big Bear Valley on Wednesday revealed the official names of Jackie and Shadow's two eaglets following a "Chick-Naming Contest" that drew in over 54,000 submissions.

The wait is over, Jackie and Shadow's two baby eaglets have officially been named. The Friends of Big Bear Valley announced the eaglets were named after a lengthy process. They said the bigger chick is named Sunny and the smaller chick is Gizmo.

BIG BEAR, Calif. (KABC) -- The chicks of Big Bear's beloved bald eagle couple, Jackie and Shadow, now have names! The bigger chick is named Sunny and the smaller one is Gizmo.

Calling all Jackie and Shadow fans, you still have a chance to name Jackie and Shadow’s remaining two chicks. Friends of Big Bear Valley, the nonprofit organization that oversees the bald eagle nest camera in Big Bear,
