DeSantis declares State of Emergency as Florida braces for arctic blast
Gov. Ron DeSantis has issued a State of Emergency in Florida because of the winter storms. DeSantis said the expected conditions in North Florida are projected to constitute a major disaster. That includes hazardous driving conditions across Tuesday night and into Wednesday.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WKRC) — "Gulf of America" appeared in a Winter Weather Emergency Declaration from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. According to WFTX, the term "Gulf of America" appeared in an emergency declaration issued only hours after President Donald Trump mentioned his desire to have the title changed during his inaugural address Monday.
