The Athletic's Dane Brugler released his seven-round mock draft with just about a week until the NFL draft. For the Bears, they shopped exclusively in the Big Ten as they added weapons for Ben Johnson, continued to prioritize the offensive and defensive lines while adding other pieces on defense.

In a new mock draft from Athlon Sports' Luke Easterling, the Bears take a massive swing by trading up with the New York Giants to select Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter at third overall. As far as compensation, the Bears send their pair of early second-round picks (Nos. 39, 41) to the Giants to move up seven spots for Carter.
