Just a day before UConn's Sweet 16 game, Rebecca Lobo confirmed Bueckers' plans to declare for the 2025 WNBA Draft. "Paige Bueckers confirmed to us today that she will enter the 2025 @WNBA Draft. (Some had suggested she would not declare, play in Unrivaled, and then declare in 2026.)" Lobo wrote on X.

Bueckers told Lobo, a former UConn star herself, of her intention to enter the draft but has not officially declared for the draft yet. Bueckers is projected by most outlets to be the No. 1 overall pick, which the Dallas Wings own following the draft lottery in December.
