The U.S. Department of Homeland Security pushed back on a New York Times story claiming the Venezuelan couldn't be found on a list of deportees.

A 32-year-old Venezuelan man reportedly took a wrong turn onto the Ambassador Bridge, crossing into Canada, while delivering food back in January, and has since been detained and deported to El Salvador.

Neiyerver Adrian Leon Rengel, 27, a Venezuelan national, was deported from Texas to an unknown location in March. His family is desperate for answers. He disappeared from an ICE detention center the same day several other Venezuelans were deported to El Salvador — but his name is not on the list of those transferred.
