As NFL free agency continues to drag on, quarterback Aaron Rodgers' options continue to diminish, especially with the New York Giants signing Russell Wilson to a one-year, $10.5 million contract.
Matthew Stafford stayed with the Rams, the Seahawks sent Geno Smith to the Raiders and then pivoted to Darnold, while the Steelers saw Justin Fields leave for the Jets on a two-year, $40 million deal. Beyond Rodgers, there are several other veterans on the Giants’ radar.
The free agent’s next move will have implications for several teams and other quarterbacks such as Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco, Jameis Winston and Kirk Cousins.
Flacco started six games for the Colts in 2024, amassing 1781 yards with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. One of his best games came against the Steelers, where he replaced Anthony Richardson due to injury and led the Colts to a 27-24 win.
