The Luzerne County Historical Society purchased St. Cecilia’s Church in Exeter for $650,000 from the Diocese of Scranton, Historical Society President Will Conyngham said.

The former St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Exeter, seen Wednesday, closed its doors in the summer of 2022. Now, the Luzerne County Historical Society will breathe new life into the space.
