Listed as endangered in Canada and on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, Spotted Turtles are now at a crossroads. A World of Possibility.

They are currently listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List. The Aquarium of Niagara works with other zoos and aquariums on a Species Survival Plan for Spotted Turtles.

The book also details efforts to protect and conserve bog turtle populations. The state’s Endangered and Nongame Species program estimates that there are about 2,000 bog turtles left in New Jersey.
