World number one Scottie Scheffler said Monday he is close to returning to the PGA Tour after suffering a Christmas cooking injury to his right hand but hasn't pinpointed a date for his comeback.

According to Golfweek and NBC Sports, Scheffler — who welcomed son Bennett with his wife Meredith last May — said he broke a glass while making ravioli with his family on Christmas Day and hurt his hand.
