Suns forward Kevin Durant is out for the second straight game because of an ankle injury, while Bradley Beal also will sit Friday night against the Jazz.

Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal are both out with injuries for the Phoenix Suns in their game against the Utah Jazz on Friday night, one day after a trade deadline where both players were the subject of multiple trade rumors.

Following the Jazz game, Durant and the Suns will continue a three-game home stand with Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets coming to town on Saturday and Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. They will wrap things up with a trip to Texas to take on the Houston Rockets before NBA All-Star Weekend begins.

Perhaps no fanbase has as much contempt for a former player as the Oklahoma City Thunder have for Kevin Durant. LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers buried the hatchet, and even Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs seem to be on somewhat friendly terms.

Considering all that, it shouldn't be a shocker to see the Thunder make minimal moves at the NBA trade deadline. Sam Presti made a handful of roster changes, but those were on the margins. OKC will ride out with the squad that's led it to its cushy first-place lead.
