GULMARG- The Gulmarg leg of the Khelo India Winter Games 2025, originally set to begin on February 15, has been postponed due to insufficient snowfall. Events scheduled for February 22 to 25, including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, and snowboarding, were to take place.

India postponed its national winter games on Monday citing a lack of snow in the northern Kashmir territory's ski resort of Gulmarg, where the event was to be held this month.

The winter sporting event was set to begin on February 22, but with the slopes running out of snow for skiing, the games have now been deferred until the next bout of snow

The second leg of the 5th Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg has been postponed. The new dates will be announced soon. The first phase of the Games was successfully held in Leh, featuring ice events like hockey and skating.
