Over the weekend, Google announced on social media that Gemini 2.5 is “taking off” and the company wants to get the thinking AI model “into more people’s hands” ASAP. As such, the experimental version of Gemini 2.5 Pro is now available to all Gemini users, free of charge. However, it remains to be seen how long the AI model will stay free.

Google released a new family of AI reasoning models on March 25 under the Gemini 2.5 models, beginning with the experimental Gemini 2.5 Pro. The tech conglomerate added that Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental ranked first on the LMArena leadership board,

The TxGemma models are – as the name suggests – an offshoot of Google's Gemma family of open-source, generative AI (GenAI) models that are, in turn, based on its Gemini AI platform, the latest iteration of which launched in December.
