VENICE – The city is replacing about 400 linear feet of the Tarpon Center Drive seawall damaged by Hurricane Idalia in 2023 with a new one that will be topped by a glass flood barrier.

VENICE, Fla. (WFLA) — The seawall along Tarpon Center Drive in Venice was badly damaged during Hurricane Idalia in 2023, and even more so following the back-to-back hurricanes last year.
