On Friday, the Bristol Fourth of July Celebration committee announced that the concert series, traditionally held at Independence Park, will be moved this summer to Roger Williams University.

He asked the town to remember the veterans and show appreciation for the new nation. This marked the first Bristol Fourth of July Celebration, which has continued to this day.

should the committee decline to move the concert series back downtown, every single donation would be refunded. Bristol is home to the country’s oldest continuous Fourth of July Celebration.
