Austin Stowell plays the younger version of Agent Gibbs in the new NCIS prequel, but away from the small screen, the actor has faced his own personal struggles.

NCIS: Origins season 1, episode 17, "Darlin' Don't Refrain" will air on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 10 p.m. E.T. on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Set in 1991, CBS's fifth NCIS spinoff follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) as he begins his career with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, operating out of Camp Pendleton.

NCIS: Origins is the sixth TV show in the NCIS franchise. It began airing on CBS on October 14, 2024, in a two-hour premiere after season 22 of NCIS.
