Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor believes that the NBA will get a heads up before LeBron James retires because the Los Angeles Lakers star will want to end his playing career with a "farewell tour."

The NBA offseason has slowed down from a roster movement perspective, but the rumor mill has still been working overtime. With the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James locked into a standoff, trade rumors and retirement rumors have been running rampant.

It makes sense for the Dallas Mavericks to have some level of interest in Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James if he becomes available, given that he’s played and has a good relationship with Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. However, for other reasons, it may not be as easy for the Mavericks to finalize a deal.
