The first major move of the 2025 MLB trade deadline arrived Thursday with a deal that sent Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Josh Naylor to the Seattle Mariners, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Outside of Gurriel, Eugenio Suarez is one player who has been receiving trade buzz over the past few weeks. He's let it be known as well that he wouldn't mind a trade, more specifically to the place where he started his career, the Detroit Tigers.

According to a league source, the Diamondbacks are scouting the minor-league systems of at least some of the teams interested in Suárez. Those teams, according to league sources and published reports, include the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds and Seattle Mariners.

Christian Walker singled home the go-ahead run in the ninth inning and the Houston Astros beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 to complete a three-game sweep.
