The New York Jets are starting over. The Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas eras ending during last season, and this offseason the team hired former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator -- and Jets defensive back -- Aaron Glenn as their head coach and former Denver Broncos assistant general manager Darren Mougey as their new GM.
While Glenn, who was the No. 12 overall selection by the Jets in the 1994 NFL Draft, played 15 seasons and worked his way up the coaching ladder, Mougey planted his flag in Denver the previous 12 seasons until he got the call to lead the Green & White.
Safety Chuck Clark wasn’t re-signed and Ashtyn Davis joined the Dolphins. The Jets tendered restricted free agent Tony Adams and added the 6-foot Cisco to solidify the back end of their defense.
