The Marshall Family Fishing Camp house, which was built in 1945 by a Rice University graduate was moved for preservation.

Instead of relegating it to the scrapyard, the Galveston Historical Foundation moved a fishing camp house from the mid-1940s via a barge on Offatts Bayou.
