President Donald Trump named his one-time defense attorney and current White House counselor Alina Habba to be the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey.

President Donald Trump announced Monday that Alina Habba will serve as the interim U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey.

In recent months, she’s served as a White House defender amid its attempts to shrink the size of the federal government.
