The government in Bangkok has declared an emergency in the city after an under-construction building collapse killed one person and injured 50 others. Thailand's Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has also held an emergency meeting to review the situation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is "concerned" by the aftermath of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that hit Myanmar and caused severe damage in Bangkok. As a result, tremors were felt in several Indian cities, including Kolkata and Imphal. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi said that India is ready to offer all possible assistance.
