A portion of one of South Florida's busiest streets and tourist attractions, Ocean Drive in South Beach, is back open to vehicular traffic, after being shut down for nearly two years.

Miami Beach officials for years have enacted laws to curb alcohol sales, parties, and music on Ocean Drive, including a 2 a.m. last call.

The city of Miami Beach is reopening Ocean Drive for two-way vehicle traffic and will remove bike lanes. According to the Miami Herald, city officials announced the decision today.
