At least 290 people are dead after a passenger plane crashed on departure at an airport in Ahmedabad, India, health officials said.

All but one of those on board an Air India flight bound for London Gatwick Airport that crashed shortly after take-off in western India on Thursday have died, the airline has confirmed.

The GoFundMe, meant to help provide for the couple's daughters, has garnered more than £422,000 (about $572,000) toward a £500,000 (about $678,000) goal.
