"I like to think that people come to a comedy show to kind of get away from the things, the pressures of life, wherever it might be," Leno said.

Leno thinks today’s TV hosts are fools for falling back on one-sided political humor – explaining they’re isolating half their audience with the endless partisan jabs.

Since his show was canceled, Colbert — and other hosts of late night — have roasted the president even more than usual. In return, Trump has said that it's "really good" to see Colbert go, and he hopes that he "played a major part in it."
