The Spurs' Victor Wembanyama and the Rockets' Alperen Sengun were among six first-timers named to the NBA All-Star Game on Thursday, when the league announced the reserves.

For the first time, and almost certainly not the last, Victor Wembanyama is an All-Star. The Spurs center was among the members of the Western Conference reserve squad as voted on by NBA coaches and announced Thursday afternoon.

Joining Wembanyama as a West reserve are Jaren Jackson Jr., Jalen Williams, Anthony Edwards, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Alperen Şengün. The seven reserves from the East are Jaylen Brown, Pascal Siakam, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Cade Cunningham, Damian Lillard and Tyler Herro, as selected by the conference’s coaches.
