MARKHAM, Ill. (CBS) -- At least one person was killed in a crash on I-57 in the south suburbs Wednesday night. The crash happened on the northbound side of the expressway south of 159th Street and close to Pulaski Road, according to Illinois State Police.

Chicago officials admitted they confused Secret Service agents who showed up at an elementary school to investigate a threat for ICE agents.

Under Assessor Fritz Kaegi’s estimates, homeowners will pay 49% of Chicago’s property tax burden, while commercial owners take on 51%. It’s an exact flip from the year before.
