Logan Stankoven had two goals and an assist to lead the Dallas Stars to a 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1

The Dallas Stars face the Toronto Maple Leafs Tuesday night for the second and final time this season. Entering Tuesday's match, the Stars are 27-14-1 while the Maple Leafs are 27-15-2. Dallas is 93-99-33 all-time vs. Toronto, including a 39-55-20 mark on the road.

A number of skids were brought to an end as Dallas picked up its fourth win of the five-game trip with a commanding effort in Toronto

It's hard to pick an aspect of the game where the Leafs played well, turning what could have been a coin flip into a routine win for Dallas.

Logan Stankoven had two goals to snap a 25-game scoring drought and the visiting Dallas Stars defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1 on Tuesday night.

"We're down. You know, just moving guys around," Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube said of the switch after the game. "They went out and scored right away, and then I just trying to get some goals back as quickly as possible."

No beating the Dallas Stars this time. After ruling over the Stars for years, the Maple Leafs took one on the chin on Tuesday night, losing 4-1 at Scotiabank Arena. The Leafs had won seven in a row against the Stars, not having lost to Dallas since Feb. 13, 2020. It was the Leafs’ longest active winning streak against any opponent.

Stankoven and Matt Duchene each tallied three points as Dallas got back on track and finished its road trip on a high note.

Enough already. Regarding the Maple Leafs’ owning of the Dallas Stars, Peter DeBoer would like to see it come to an end. Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena would be nice, DeBoer figured. You have to go back to pre-pandemic days to find the most recent Stars win against the Leafs.

Former Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman John Klingberg is reportedly headed to the Edmonton Oilers. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman had the scoop on Friday afternoon, posting to X that the 32-year-old would be joining the Oilers after recovering from hip resurfacing surgery done in late 2023.

The Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars join Toronto as contenders for Klingberg, who is recovering from hip resurfacing surgery he underwent in late 2023. He last signed a one-year, $4.15 million deal with Toronto in 2023 after a season split between the Anaheim Ducks and Minnesota Wild.
