While the Rays may not see a return in 2025, they've made a shrewd addition to bolster their bullpen for the long haul.

The Rays worked with Major League Baseball to craft a schedule that considers weather, traffic and other events in the area. Starting in June, weeknight games begin at 7:35 and Sunday games at 12:05 p.

With the first of two concerts on Friday night, June 6, the Rays will play a 1:10 p.m. game against the Marlins. With the second concert on Sunday, June 8, the teams will play a 12:10 game. The Rays started most weeknight home games at 6:50 p.m. last season and at 6:40 in 2023.

Major League Baseball on Thursday announced start times for its entire 2025 calendar of games, including the regular season, Spring Training and the second annual Spring Breakout.

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting a hiring event for multiple available positions. The 2025 Spring Training Hiring Event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Charlotte Sports Park, located at 2300 El Jobean Road in Port Charlotte. There are positions available for fan hosts and parking attendants.

Team officials are well aware things often don’t go as planned, and they will watch and wait during spring camp.

If the owner can't get the team's proposed new ballpark built, it may be time for him to sell to someone in the Tampa Bay area who can.

The Yankees recently renovated the Steinbrenner Field complex, and the Tampa Bay Rays will benefit greatly from it in 2025.

After some uncertainty, the Tampa Bay Rays now support a $55.7 million city plan to repair hurricane-shredded Tropicana Field in time for the 2026 season opener, while the team prepares to play this year at the New York Yankees’ spring training home in nearby Tampa.

As the Yankees continue with their offseason, the team pursues a left-handed reliever, notably Tim Hill, Brooks Raley, and/or Andrew Chafin.
