NORMAN, Okla. — Jalon Moore scored 22 points and Oklahoma pulled away in the second half to beat South Carolina 82-62 on Saturday. Moore made 6 of 10 shots from the floor and 10 of 11 at the free-throw line for the Sooners (14-4, 1-4 Southeastern Conference). He added eight rebounds.

Murray-Boyles provided a spark defensively with a career-high five steals, ripping the ball from Sooners with a tenacity that kept the Gamecocks afloat early. Still, Oklahoma capitalized on USC’s sloppiness, scoring 19 points off turnovers before the break, compared to just three for the Gamecocks.

Oklahoma (14-4, 1-4) defeated South Carolina (10-8, 0-5) 82-62 Saturday afternoon inside the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. The victory over the Gamecocks snapped a four-game losing streak that the Sooners have dealt with throughout SEC conference play. The win gave OU its first SEC victory in their first season in the conference.
