On Tuesday at around 4:30 p.m., Mayor Linda Gorton and Lexington leaders held a press conference to discuss the weather preparations ahead of the incoming winter weather.
After January’s severe winter weather kept kids home from school for days, the city of Lexington and Fayette County Public Schools promised to improve communication.
City officials in Lexington say they have made adjustments since the winter storms that brought the city to a halt last month.
Lexington is slated to get 3 to 5 inches of snow beginning early Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday. Rain is expected starting Wednesday afternoon.
