The Las Vegas Raiders are bringing back Patrick Graham as defensive coordinator, according to a league source.

Patrick Graham had several suitors this offseason. Including Raiders head coach Pete Carroll. Thus the Raiders get their top assistant back.

The journey Patrick Graham has gone through this offseason is quite unique. At one point, he appeared to be the favorite to land the then-available Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching job.

Patrick Graham is returning to the Las Vegas Raiders as defensive coordinator, teaming up with newly hired head coach Pete Carroll. Graham became the Raiders' DC before the 2022 season. He initially worked under Josh McDaniels, then stayed on with Antonio Pierce, who was fired after the Raiders finished 4–13 last season.

After looking into a few outside candidates, the Raiders are in position to maintain the status quo at the defensive coordinator spot. Pete Carroll is set to have continuity on that side of the ball for 2025.

According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, one of the Jaguars’ defensive coordinator candidates will instead be joining the Raiders.
