The Colorado Avalanche could enter the sweepstakes of St. Louis Blues captain Brayden Schenn ahead of the deadline. According to Evan Rawal of The Denver Gazette, Colorado could pursue Schenn to solidify its second-line center role,
Schenn scored a goal in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Avalanche. Schenn tied the score for the Blues midway through the second period, and that goal opened the gates for a St. Louis team that scored three unanswered goals in that frame to build a lead the team would never relinquish.
The Blues used a three-goal second period to zoom past Colorado 3-1 on Sunday night, picking up points for the fifth time in the last six games.
