Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner had missed the previous two games with back spasms and did not start today against the Colorado Rockies. However, manager Rob Thomson wisely deployed Turner as a pinch hitter for Brandon Marsh in what became a rallying seventh inning.

Zack Wheeler struck out 10 in seven sharp innings and Trea Turner had three hits in his return to the starting lineup as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Colorado Rockies 5-1.
