Waterville's Northern Light Inland Hospital to shut down in 90 days

WAATERVILLE (WGME) -- Over the next two months, Northern Light says it will help Inland Hospital patients find somewhere else to go for medical care. On Thursday, Northern Light Inland Hospital announced it is closing permanently on June 11. Clinical services are expected to end on May 27.
Waterville’s Northern Light Inland Hospital to close in June
The suspension left Waterville with no birthing services. The nearest hospitals with birthing services are Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan, at 18 miles away, and the MaineGeneral Health Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, at 16 miles away.
