New Jersey declared it will enter a State of Emergency Thursday afternoon ahead of possible floods and severe thunderstorms which are expected to impact the area. Acting Governor Tahesha Way declared that New Jersey will enter a State of Emergency at 2 p.

Thursday will bring the fourth day in a row with a NEXT Weather Alert for the Philadelphia region, though it will be due to storms and flooding, not necessarily the heat. It will be hot, but it won't be as hot as the previous days.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for all of New Jersey and the surrounding region for July 31 to Aug. 1.
