The police chiefs of Oakdale and Forest Hill were among those accused of filing false reports that allowed migrants to apply for visas intended for crime victims.

The wife of a Louisiana police chief, who was charged amid a sweeping federal investigation into an immigration visa fraud scheme, was also arrested on Thursday

Current Oakdale Police Chief Chad Doyle and Ward 5 Marshal Michael "Freck" Slaney were each charged with conspiracy, six counts of visa fraud and six counts of mail fraud. Doyle faces one count of money laundering, while Slaney faces two.
