Donald Trump said he didn’t speak with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele about Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s return to the United States.

In an interview with NBC News, the president said it was the Justice Department's decision, not his, to bring the Maryland man back to the U.S.

The president weighed in on the prosecution of the man mistakenly sent to a notorious prison in El Salvador, then brought back to the U.S. only to face criminal charges.
