During CinemaCon this week, Universal Pictures announced that a live-action adaptation of “How To Train Your Dragon 2″ is in the works, according to Variety. The first “How To Train Your Dragon” live-action remake will be released June 13 of this year.

The studio announced during its presentation at CinemaCon on Wednesday that the feature sequel is set to hit theaters June 11, 2027. The first live-action How to Train Your Dragon, based on DreamWorks Animation ‘s hit 2010 animated movie of the same name, is coming out June 13.

Universal’s live-action adaptation of DreamWorks Animation’s hit How to Train Your Dragon hasn’t opened yet (it arrives in theaters on June 13), but the studio is so over the moon about it that it has greenlit a sequel.
