The Lions and the Los Angeles Chargers – their upcoming Hall of Fame Game opponent – are the earliest two teams to begin their full training camps. The two teams will face off on July 31 to start the NFL preseason. Head coach Dan Campbell was optimistic as he greeted media in his fifth year at the helm of the team.
Hortiz struck gold in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, selecting two corners — Tarheeb Still and Cam Hart — who were important contributors as rookies. Hart and Still return and will be firmly in the mix for starting spots. Hart is an outside corner. Still can play outside and nickel.
Instead, the honor has gone to Jalen Reagor, who caught the first touchdown of camp from Justin Herbert and has been getting praise from all, including the franchise quarterback himself.
