West Virginia hired Ross Hodge of North Texas as its men’s basketball coach on Wednesday. The 44-year-old Hodge replaces Darian DeVries, who left after one season for Indiana. Hodge agreed to a five-year deal to become West Virginia's fourth coach in four seasons.

Hodge, 44, is still coaching the Mean Green in the NIT. They play in the semifinals on April 1 in Indianapolis.

West Virginia is working toward a deal to hire North Texas' Ross Hodge as its next head coach, and it's expected to be completed in the near-future, sources told me and Jeff Borzello. WVU AD Wren Baker knows Hodge from his time as North Texas AD.
