Thousands of young people took to the streets across Serbia on Friday, after student protest organisers called for a general strike over the fatal collapse of a train station roof in November.

The former governor of Illinois, whose corruption conviction sentence Trump commuted, chaired a group called Serbians for Trump in the 2024 election.

Milos Vucevic's resignation follows months of nationwide demonstrations over the collapse of a station roof which killed 15.
