KEARNEY, Neb. (KOLN) - On the walls of St. George Orthodox Church are hand-painted icons of saints. “People know when they come in to change their mindset,” said John Wolf, St. George parishioner.
In Orthodox Christian iconography, a peculiar icon of Saint Christopher can be seen, depicting him with a dog's head.
With hand-painted icons, the people of St. George Orthodox Church remember the lives of saints, Christ and their founders from the Middle East.
