The Boys & Girls Club turned the event into a Family Day to celebrate summer along with online safety. The event included music, face painting, a bounce house, outdoor games, and food.

The Kids Safe Online poster contest is open students in kindergarten through 12th grade from any public school, private school or youth group in Virginia. The deadline for entry is Jan. 8.
