Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers add a pivotal piece to the trenches, Top-5 overall prospect in Louisiana commits.

LSU secured its highest-ranked pledge in the 2026 recruiting cycle Thursday with a commitment from four-star in-state offensive tackle Brysten Martinez, No. 32 in the ESPN Junior 300.

Four-star offensive lineman and Class of 2026 recruit Brysten Martinez has announced his commitment to LSU football, he announced on social media Thursday. Martinez is the No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 53 prospect in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite. He attends East Ascension High and is the No. 5 recruit in Louisiana.

Brysten Martinez is a four-star offensive tackle from Gonzales, Louisiana, so it makes sense that LSU would be his choice of college.

LSU football's offensive line will look different in 2024. The Tigers are losing four starters from the 2024 unit. Both tackles -- Will Campbell and Emery Jones -- declared early for the NFL Draft. Both guards -- Miles Frazier and Garrett Dellinger -- graduated and are off to the pros.

Martinez plays at East Ascension High School in Gonzales, Louisiana, so he is deciding to stay in-state to play college football. Martinez was one of several players on hand for LSU's junior day event in January, and now he joins the Tigers' impressive class of 2026.
