Classrooms are being constructed at Karia-ini and Thome primary schools and Juja secondary school. Some 24 classrooms will be renovated at Rurii, Athi, Nyacaba and Gachororo primary schools.

Recently, a secondary school student was knocked down and killed by a speeding car as she crossed the road, causing fury among locals.
