Hyderabad: No work has been initiated to build a multi-level parking facility in the crowded Charminar area, seven years after the bus terminus was demolished to make way for the facility.

Hyderabad: Golconda Fort and Charminar, Hyderabad’s most iconic landmarks, were among the Archaeological Survey of India’s (ASI) top 10 monuments in terms of domestic tourist footfall in 2023-24.

In the 2018 Telangana elections, Charminar recorded a voter turnout of 40.18%. In 2014 the turnout was 56.2%. In 2014, Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri of AIMIM won the seat by a margin of 36,615 (33.22%).
