One of the more interesting roster moves on the NFL’s transaction wire Wednesday was the Buffalo Bills signing quarterback Anthony Brown to their practice squad.

While no one is Lamar Jackson, the Buffalo Bills are doing their best to emulate in practice what they will be facing when Jackson and the Ravens come to town for Sunday night's AFC divisional round showdown.

The Bills are set to face Lamar Jackson again, and with Sean McDermott’s defensive unit looking to get his timing down, they’ve signed former Ravens quarterback Anthony Brown. Brown signing to the Buffalo practice squad was among two moves the Bills announced on Wednesday.

Bills coach Sean McDermott was asked about preparing for Jackson during his press conference. McDermott had high praise for the Ravens' quarterback. "There's only one Lamar Jackson at the end of the day," said McDermott. "So you do the best you can to try and simulate it." Then as he shook his head he added, "Good luck."

The team signed Anthony Brown to the practice squad, a quarterback who was formerly Jackson's teammate with the Ravens in 2022. Brown was part of the Bills organization during the offseason, but was released and spent the remainder of the season with the Arizona Cardinals ' practice squad.

Heading into their playoff matchup with the Ravens, the Bills have signed a former Baltimore quarterback to their roster.

The Buffalo Bills have signed a quarterback just four days before their matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs. Interestingly enough, the newest member of the Bills actually played for the Ravens.
